Report: Bucks, Warriors Reach Deal for Bogut, Ellis

The Golden State Warriors are finally adding a quality big man and ridding themselves of Monta Ellis in the process.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that a deal has been agreed to in principal with Warriors sending Ellis along with Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown to Milwaukee for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson.

Golden State adds a true center in Bogut although he has been plagued by injuries during his six year career.  He is currently sidelined indefinitely with a fractured ankle.  The price to getting the big man was taking on the problematic Jackson who has another year left on his contract.  A change of scenery may do him some good and allow him to focus on playing rather than being a distraction.

The Bucks add an electric scorer in Ellis who is one of the most exciting offensive players in the league.  They also get a solid rookie in Udoh who they hope continues to improve and can help hold down the middle.  As for Brown, he is out for the season and will become a free agent after the season.

The deal adds a big time scoring punch to the Bucks who are making a surge towards the playoffs.  The team is currently 18-24 on the season but holds the 8th seed in the Eastern conference with the Knicks and Cavaliers within a 1/2 game.
